Blueberry picking

Truly one of my favorite summer activities is taking my boys blueberry picking. This farm in Broken Arrow is so beautiful and the day we went couldn't have been more perfect.
Drew and his friend Sawyer picked so many berries.

Brady had fun picking with Josh and Dallin.

Grant and PJ were so sweet to PJ's little sister. She stayed right with them the entire time.

When all was said and done we had picked 6 pounds of blueberries. It was a really lovely peaceful morning.

Hanging out with Grammie and Gramps

A few weeks ago, my mom and dad stopped by on Sunday evening on their way home from a speaking assignment. We love it when they come over on Sunday evening. It starts our week off right.
This particular night we tried indoor smores. They were so yummy and fun.
We put marshmallows on a stick and roasted them over our stove. Then we rolled them in melted chocolate and then in graham cracker crumbs. Yum!

Drew kept making them and sharing them with everyone.

I'm so thankful for my mom and dad, and I'm really grateful for the time our kids get to spend with them.

5th Grade Grad Celebration

I took Grant and his friend Ben to Dave and Buster's to eat and play to celebrate being done with elementary school. They got to leave school at 10:30 on the last day while Drew and Brady had to spend the rest of the day at school. It was a really fun day with these two fun and goofy boys.

5th Grade Graduation

Grant graduated from 5th grade this week. I seriously cannot believe he'll be in Middle School next year. It seems like just yesterday when he was born.
Crossing the stage to get his certificate.

Grant and his teacher Mrs. Timmerman. Both of his teachers were so sweet this year.
I just adore all of my nieces and nephews. Heather and Steve were in Utah for a wedding, so their kids got to spend some time at our house. We loved having them here. They are so much fun! It's so different having girls around. We played "beauty shop" and that is definitely not something I've played with my boys before!

Aquarium Fun Run

Grant hurt his foot at school the week before the race, so he decided to just run the 1 mile fun run instead of the 5k.

Go Grant!

Brady's Aquarium 5k

Brady caught the 5k bug after running the Head for the Cure race. He and his friend Ryan signed up to run the Aquarium 5k while I was running the half marathon.
These two are really great friends, but so competitive with each other in everything they do.
And they're off...
Sprinting to the finish line. Brady ran it in 29:41. Ryan came in one second in front of him, but Brady was a really good sport. He is already deciding what race he wants to run next.

Aquarium Half Marathon

This was my second time to run the Aquarium Half Marathon. The weather was really perfect for this race. I ran with my friend Bethany the entire way. This was her first half, so we decided to stick together. Because that meant running a little slower than my normal pace, this race was really fun for me. I felt great!
Almost at the finish line!
This is when I saw my sister and her family and Nick and the boys in the crowd. I love my enthusiastic wave and smile! Like I said, I was still feeling really good at the end of the race.
Crossing the finish line! Woo-hoo! Grant ran the last portion of the race with us. I love it when my kids do that.
Our friend Tyler came from Nebraska for this race too and he ran it so fast. Here we all are after the race with some of our fan club.
Cristina also ran her first half that day. It was great to have so many friends out running that day.
